
With over 25 years experience in
the hotel industry, Karyn's
entrepreneurial spirit, dedication,
innovation and energy has
distinguished her as a leader of her
successful family hotel business.
After graduating from the Faculty of
Law at the University of Alberta in
1987, Karyn practiced law with the
family law firm of Decore and
Company and later joined the firm
of Duncan and Craig. She assumed
the role of President of Decore Hotels
in 1991.
Karyn expanded her family's holdings with the purchase of Castle Mountain Chalets in 1999. She was also instrumental in opening the successful Juniper Hotel in Banff, AB and also oversaw the ownership and management operations of the Château Jasper.
In addition to running the hotel company, Karyn is a member of Young Presidents Organization and a graduate of Quantum Shift from the Richard Ivey School of business in London, Ontario. She also sits on several boards, both corporate and charitable.
